I’ve been to a few Exhibitions such as a video games expo
and that time I went to Comic Con and it sucked balls but it’s always been a mild interest in the past; queues for
shit you don’t want to buy, queues for celebrities you are literally paying to
talk to of which have no interest in reciprocating and queues for the exciting
queue you’re wanting to queue for.
Sexhibition was
the first time I’ve been to an Expo and walked out smiling, it might have had
something to do with going at night and having the opportunity to get shit
faced but the interesting and wonderfully colourful
people whom attended intrigued me.
Obviously there were dildos, lots and lots of dildos along with plenty of bondage gear and some art you probably wouldn't hang up in your living room, but there was plenty to look at (and enjoy if you were brave
enough) such as “The Red Room of Pain” which was like a sadists gymnasium that
anybody willing could enjoy, and anybody inside of could watch you
enjoy/endure. Unfortunately it was the only place that a camera wasn't allowed. There was a strip club and a fantastic cabaret stage where the
acts clearly weren't thrown together for one night but were a labour of love
and dedication to the art.
What made it for me was the variety of attendees, being
surrounded by people dressed in provocative, sexy outfits for one
night, some being tied up and spanked, opened my eyes to the fact that you have no idea what people do behind closed doors, and that’s completely OK. I genuinely feel more comfortable with
the seedier side of my brain after realising that if you're not even a little bit fucked up, you're either lying or incredibly dull, may he without sin cast the first stone.
Give me whips and chains over vanilla and missionary any day.
