Punch a nazi

I am currently awaiting an appeal for a permanent ban. Reddit admins have dropped the hammer after a comment I made, “It’s always okay to punch a Nazi”. I believe this is the second time I’ve received such a ban.

The idea that it’s okay to punch a nazi comes naturally to me, I don’t consider it to be controversial. I’ve been banned before for the exact same thing. I clearly didn’t learn anything the last time this happened.

I’m in my 30s. I grew up learning about WWII and the evil shit that the Nazis got up to. I’ve played countless games where the objective is to destroy Nazis. I’ve learned about the psychology of the German people in the early 1900s. And how weakness and desperation lead to a nationalist identity, which somehow gave a thumbs up towards genocide.

I’ve learned over the years that if you don’t stamp out Nazi ideology, it will creep in. And before you know it, it’s too late and they have taken over. I have seen, as has everybody else, a huge increase in nationalist identities growing publicly, and I fear too little is being done to prevent its growth.

Broken window theory

The Broken Window Theory is a criminological theory that suggests that visible signs of disorder, such as broken windows or graffiti, can lead to an increase in criminal activity and social disorder in a community. The theory posits that if these signs of disorder are left unchecked, they can send a signal that no one cares about the area, leading to an increase in more serious criminal activity.

To conclude, I’m not a huge believer in the broken window theory, but it has some merit when trying to prevent literal genocide. If we let Nazis walk around spewing shit unchecked, people will think it’s no big deal. But it’s a huge fucking deal. I don’t care what Reddit says, or how socially acceptable Nazis are trying to make themselves on social media. It’s always okay to punch a nazi.
