There’s a community ran “Cat Cafe” for stray cats in Malta where the cats are the customers, not the furniture.

Walking around just outside of Velletta, there’s a small park in Floriena that has a make-shift shanty town just for cats. We came across it when an old gentleman was feeding the small horde of felines.

If this same idea was implemented in the UK it’d cost a hundred thousand pounds to install and 16 months planning time before ground could be broken. There’s a stray cat problem in Malta but it’s nice to see that cats are still looked after, despite their lack of accomadation.
