Right before G20 kicked off Brisbane hosted the largest colour festival in Australia, a few people said it was the biggest in the world but Oz keeps claiming it has the largest of things and whenever I Google them it turns out to be wrong. The festival was focusing on multiculturalism with each musician coming from different countries. The music itself was an interesting fusion of modern music and traditional non-western compositions.
2019 Edit: I’ve updated the pictures from this awesome day. Weirdly I was underwhelmed when I arrived at this place with all the hype, but that might have been the unemployment paired with depression at the time. In hindsight the festival was awesome and I’m glad I spent it with people I consider friends.
An absolute highlight was the staff using leafblowers at the exit to blow away the powder from clothes and hair.
