Badcrop to the Oldskool

Being the cool kids in a room full of cool kids takes some effort, but Badcrop managed it with their dope set in Cassette Nine for the VICE Cassette Day party in Auckland.

I was invited to shoot an incredible set for VICE in Auckland New Zealand. With free beers provided by Budweiser and teapot cocktails followed, it was a boozy night in and out of the green room.

The duo sound like the perfect mix between 90s chill-hop with a complimentary mix of low-fi beats. Mixing some relaxing piano into their tracks, there’s no doubt that they have truly found their sound.

Writing about Auckland and the spread of commercialism in the city, the pair have something to say whilst you tap your foot.
