Freelancing during a pandemic is a challenge

Times as a freelance anything are incredibly difficult at the minute, and finding consistent work is challenging. Keeping your nostrils above water is the best you can hope for whilst freelancing during a pandemic. That being said, when I do get work I do my best to enjoy it. I could half-ass it and get some easy money, but it’s better to feel rewarded at the end of the day and feel satisfied with what you have accomplished.

Below are some pictures I took yesterday at work for a Model Management company. I have been shooting at this studio for almost two years and I still feel like I am learning new things about photography. Some days I get nothing that I’m happy with, but this day was different. On this day I put the work in and I felt the quality come out.

You may notice that these shots are almost completely unedited. That’s not because I don’t like editing my pictures, it’s just because the turnaround on images needs to be fast, and frankly, there isn’t enough time.
