Malta is where the cat is
Malta is a hidden gem in the Mediterranean that should be on every traveller’s bucket list. This beautiful island is rich in history, culture, and natural beauty. It’s the perfect destination for anyone who loves to explore.
During my visit to Malta, I was struck by how much the island has to offer. Whether you’re interested in ancient history or modern culture, you’ll find plenty to see and do here. From the stunning prehistoric temples of Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra to the medieval fortifications of Valletta and Mdina, Malta is a place that truly transports you back in time.
But Malta is more than just a history lesson. The island has a unique culture that is a blend of Arabic and Italian influences, and this is reflected in its cuisine, architecture, and language. During my visit, I had the pleasure of trying some of the most delicious food I’ve ever tasted, from amazing pasta to fresh seafood to traditional Maltese dishes like pastizzi.
One of the things that really impressed me about Malta was how much the people care about their cats. There are thousands of cats on the island, and they are treated with kindness and respect. Many businesses leave out food and water for the cats, and there are several cat sanctuaries where they can receive medical care and attention.
Whether you’re a history buff, a foodie, or an animal lover, Malta has something for everyone. With its beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, and warm Mediterranean climate, it’s also the perfect place to relax and unwind. Plus there are cats, did I mention the cats?
