Functional Jesmonite by Misshandled Design

Moving into Salford was an exciting time for me last year, not just because I hoped to re-live being burgled twice, like last time. But because I was moving in with a talented, business-owning artist, Amanda Tiller of Misshandled Design. Firstly, I love the creative process. Secondly, I had hoped moving in would be a creative adventure, creatively bouncing ideas off each other’s heads. Whilst my hopes were impossibly high, what did happen is Mandy asked me to shoot some of her wonderfully colourful jesmonite products, for her website & socials.

Mandy’s products are incredibly colourful. Justifiably, putting them on a plain white background seemed like an injustice to her work. Interestingly, at the time, Mandy worked at a high-end paint shop. Conclusively she had access to a variety of paint samples we could use for backdrops, which we did.
