I Helped Topshop Manchester with their Social

Yesterday I offered my services to Topshop Manchester for their social media. I had a great time working with Alex a personal shopper and Ellie, both staff and now aspiring Topshop models. I kept a relaxed tone and vibe to match the rest of the make-shift feel to the localised ‘gram and opted to use the light available in the store which proved challenging. To add to the difficulties I had searched high and low the night before for my 50mm fixed lens only to discover at some point it had been lost or stolen. I had to opt for my 18-35mm f/3.5 which would have been my last choice. The lens whilst useful in a studio with a strong flash gave destabilised images and left me feeling underwhelmed when editing afterwards. Fortunately I managed to pick up an old 50mm lens up from “The Real Camera Company” for a reasonable 70 quid which I’ll be using for the next shoot.

I’m stoked that I have been given the opportunity to help out and I already have some ideas for the next one.
